The distillery also produces a smaller amount of peated whisky, which remains known under the former name, Ledaig.

UNOFFICIAL TASTING NOTES:
COLOUR:
Straw yellow with a red tinge.
NOSE:
A nose of light fruit, think melon, cling peaches and a roundness of warm orange. Underneath there is a layer of maltiness and cornflakes and a soft sea breeze, like salted caramel and vanilla ice cream. Later the depth of the bouquet is barleysugar – thick sweetness predominates.
PALATE:
Creamy and mouth filling, but with a very pronounced lightness. The caramel returns with whispers of dark chocolate and a light sprinkling of salt. The gingerbread spice is contained and restrained and the orange returns with a faint hint of strawberries and cream on the diminish. There is oak and it is fresh, young and drying. Little cubeb pepper right at the end.
BODY:
Medium light and coats the mouth wonderfully.
FINISH:
Medium finish with a malty dryness and slight prickle of spice and leather.
IMPORTANT:
- Cask storage fee will become payable by the buyer to Deanston (Distell International Limited) (currently £1.09 per week).
- The buyer will also be liable for a one-off £30 ownership transfer fee payable to Deanston (Distell International Limited).
