About the distillery
Carsebridge sat in the town of Alloa, by the River Forth, as it spills out into the Firth of Forth. This is about 20 miles west-by-northwest of Edinburgh, on the east coast of Scotland.
Carsebridge distillery was founded in 1799, by John Bald & Co. Interestingly, it spent its first half century as a single malt distillery. But they switched to grain distillation due to the rising popularity of blends, and a surge in demand for relatively neutral grain spirits.
Carsebridge closed in 1983.

This is a bottle from Cask of Distinction #32543; a 1976 vintage Carsebridge from a single cask, distilled on 12th March 1976 and matured in an American Oak cask for 44 years before being bottled on 5th October, 2020.
This is a unique opportunity to own bottle number 79 of 81.
Diageo's "Casks of Distinction" is a programme designed to offer the private sale of individual casks of rare and uniquely exceptional Single Malt Scotch Whisky, hand selected by Diageo’s team of four Master Blenders. Each Cask of Distinction is chosen on the basis of its age, rarity and/or special character. Diageo then assist their clients to bottle these casks at request, using the specially deigned bottles and labels which set these bottles apart.
