GlenDronach - The Valley of the Brambles.  A very apt name for a distillery famous for its sweet and fruity flavours, a sherry lovers dream.  Nestled amongst some of Scotland's most beautiful scenery in the Valley of Forgue, GlenDronach has been bringing us a wonderful spirit for nearly 200 years.  Legally established in 1826 by James Allardice, GlenDronach has been mastering the art of sherry maturation ever since.

The core range from this distillery guides us through the succulent advantages of using Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks from Spain.  Glendronach's robust new make spirit amalgamates well with the rich, sweet and fruity flavours from the sherry casks.  They not only cater for sherry lovers but also those who like a bit of smoke.  Within the core range, GlenDronach also provides a peated expression which pays homage to their old maltings, whereby they used peat to dry out and smoke the malt.  Alongside the core range, we've also seen the single cask series and cask strength range which have all proved to be very popular.

GlenDronach whisky is definitely on the rise for whisky collectors and enthusiasts alike.  The most recent release from GlenDronach is the 25 Year Old 1993 Master Vintage.  Distilled in arguably one of the best distillation years for GlenDronach and hand selected by the GlenDronach Master Blender, Rachel Barrie.  A truly exceptional 25 year old, full of richness and complexity.  A must have for any collection.
