The Lonach Gathering is one of the biggest in Scotland, taking place in the small village of Strathdon, located in the Cairngorm national park. Every year, thousands of merry visitors flock to this quiet corner of the world to attend this event, which dates back to 1823. Consisting of your typical skirling pipe bands, highland game "strength-testers" and a sea of jolly attendees, this event has become synonymous with everything that roars Scottish hospitality. And what could speak volumes more about Scottish hospitality than its own national drink?

To celebrate this annual gathering, independent bottler Duncan Taylor have produced this 40 Year Old whisky to mark the traditions of the Lonach Clan. Much like the cultivation of any fine occasion, this 40 Year Old whisky is the result of the same degree of skill, planning and dedication.
