In October 1989, a company was formed to recover the wreck from the infamous S.S. Politition, which ran aground on the 5th of February in 1941 off Eriskay in the outer Hebridies of Scotland. Towards the end of 1990, and nearly 50 years after the sinking, the bold salvage opertation yielded a number of intact and perfect bottles from the wreck.
The precious and most rare contents of these bottles have been blended with reserved stocks of the finest Scotch malt and grain whiskies to produce these individually numbered decanters.
This is bottle number A 2832.
