About the distillery

Mortlach distillery is a distiller of Scotch whisky in Dufftown, Moray, Scotland. Founded in 1823, the distillery is currently owned by Diageo.  The whisky is a key component in several Johnnie Walker bottlings, while Diageo also markets four Mortlach single malts.

Other Information

At a breathtaking 75 years old, this single malt from the Mortlach distillery was released as part of Gordon and Macphail's' Generations range, remaining the oldest whisky ever to be bottled to date.

Distilled on 17th November 1939 and matured in a single first-fill Sherry butt, this stunning whisky was then bottled in 2015 at cask strength (44.4%).

Only 100 of these beautiful tear drop decanters were produced, and as you would expect, no expense has been spared in the presentation of this bottle. A luxury Aniline leather travel bag holds the handcrafted crystal tear drop decanter which features 75 'cuts' in the glass representing the 75 years the whisky has matured. A white presentation plinth accompanies the decanter, together with two crystal glasses and a specially commissioned book 'Seven Nights with Mortlach'.
